Recently due to alegations that reach from greasing to missing weight the JAC has had discussion about possible rule changes.
We want input from you.
Some of the proposed Rule changes that have at least been discussed include...
1. If you have not sent in picks when the H2H is posted, you will not participait.
a. If you sent in picks before H2H was posted, but after deadline, you will be docked 5 points via the Diceman rule.
2. If you are going to send in revised picks, you need to clearly label your pm "buffaloblue's **REVISED PICKS*** JFC 22"
3. If you have a problem with the JFC or JEC and their decisions please post your thoughts in a respectful manner. Any whining or bitching at management may result in actions just as going to the media and publically bitching or moanning about the Fertitas or Dana White could cost you in the UFC.
4. No exchanging of picks with your opponants before the H2H is posted.
5. Repeated misspelling of names (meaning a president remembers you constantly screw up) could result in warnings and eventual suspension if it continues. All reprimands will be public and everyone will be encouraged to laugh at you.
These are just a few things I and we have tossed around.
Please if you want anything else looked at let me know as I hope to have a rules meeting sometime soon.
Feedback is appreciated, and suggestions are encouraged.
Suggestion by Dublindevil83...
6. Locking the H2H until the Main Card. To much BS before the Undercard even starts and during it posting the PbP.
a. Example is JFC 21 - 7 pages of garbage before the 1st fight on the undercard got started

Those are all fine by me but i would add locking the H2H until the Main Card. To much BS before the Undercard even starts and during it posting the PbyP.

So you would want a JFC 21 discussion thread in addition to a live results thread?
What if only the mods posted after each fight in the live head to head results, and left another thread all together for dicusssion?

That is what I was talking to dub about. Making a seperate discussion thread and opening it up for the main card
But keeping it closed and having the discussion completely seperate would make sense

I think it should be locked until the first prelim fight starts. That makes more sense to me as i like to discuss undercard fighters and thats usually the only fights i have diff. than my opponent.

But wait, why would you not have a place to discuss the fights throughout the day.
Part of it seems dumb.
2 options imo...
1. Seperate live results and head to head from discussion thread
2. Leave it as is.

I agree with all those rules, especially the locking of the h2h threads until the fights start. I'm usually away from my comp. during the fights and look at the results on my phone. And it is a huge pain in the butt trying to find results when viewing from a phone browser while having to search through 10-15 pages before I can find anything.

This is why I mentioned keeping it locked and only updating the live results thread with the actual live results.
Leaving a discussion thread for all fight discussion.

I agree with Mutation. Lock it until the fights start... then people will be discussing the fights rather than quoting their matchups.
There can be a separate thread for comparing picks.

I like that idea. Having 2 separate threads for the event makes alot of sense.

That seems kinda pointless. You can simply go to the last page when the fights start, whats the difference. IMO its an all or nothing type thing.
Especially since I now know of 3 or 4 guys that are checking from their phones, it would be a huge advantage to them.

1. If you have not sent in picks when the H2H is posted, you will not participate.
a. If you sent in picks before H2H was posted, but after deadline, you will be docked
half of your top lock points
via the Diceman rule.
OK
2. If you are going to send in revised picks, you need to clearly label your pm "buffaloblue's **REVISED PICKS*** JFC 22"
OK
3. If you have a problem with the JFC or JEC and their decisions please post your thoughts in a respectful manner. Any whining or bitching at management may result in actions just as going to the media and publicly bitching or moaning about the Fertitas or Dana White could cost you in the UFC.
A reasonable request, but not enforceable. Attempts to enforce will not be received kindly.
4. No exchanging of picks with your opponents before the H2H is posted.
OK
5. Repeated misspelling of names (meaning a president remembers you constantly screw up) could result in warnings and eventual suspension if it continues. All reprimands will be public and everyone will be encouraged to laugh at you.
OK, but should be spelled out to the letter before being passed in to law.
6. Locking the H2H until the Main Card. To much BS before the Undercard even starts and during it posting the PbP.
a. Example is JFC 21 - 7 pages of garbage before the 1st fight on the undercard got started
Leave it alone. As bb pointed out, there'd have to be a separate results thread and discussion thread, which doesn't make sense to me. I have no problem with a few pages of pre-fight banter. If you're not interested, it doesn't take too long to scroll past it and find the first time results are posted.

Thanks for you response Ender.
I think tracking misspellings would cause 10 times more time then it would be worth. If we saw someone repeatedly and remembered they were mispelling stuff or mispelled 4 or 5 names in one event then they would likely get a public warning. I have a feeling we would rarely see this, but I know when I do a head to head and one person mispells 3 or 4 names I am FUMING. Its a disrespect for my time imo.
As far as number 3. I hope it would never have to be used, but we must reserve the right should someone go off with no respect at all for management. This is a rule that was discussed being added to moreso keep people in check. We would never use it as a power play and me castella and showdown would all have to agree before anything would happen to anyone. WE could even possibly put it up to a jury of your peers.

Can you imagine if a fighter was docked points (resulting in a loss) or suspended because he mouthed off about a decision he didn't agree with?

I'd like to suggest creating an official policy on how to handle the event of odd number of participants.
Accounting for at least these situations:
Odd number signed up.
Odd number got picks in before deadline.
Odd number got picks in before H2H posted.
Don't care what the policy is, but I think there should be one. I think it may affect the late entries indirectly.
