OK, I just browsed through this thread and quite a list of people who were going to sort of "look into it":
BuffBlue
BigBoy
Show
OSU
easye
bp
Seawall
smcdonald
Thundercat
Now, Seawall and I have our tickets and are going to the event, probably also to the Arnold. Maybe one of the pre-fight parties, although it doesn't look like the Junk is involved officially with any of them. Anyone else coming to town?
I know the big Junkie gathering in Vegas for 100 took some of the thunder away from this one, but I figured I'd check.

Me and 2 friends of mine will be there sometime early afternoon on Friday. We will for sure be at weigh-ins on Friday. We're in the club level for the fight and I'm gonna buy Arnold tickets next week. We all should get together fight day for a few beers ... I'm thinking at that hole-in-the-wall bar across from Nationwide

I'm right over your head at the fights at the Suite level, the luxury suites sit right above the Club. The bar you are thinking of is probably the Frog, Bear, and Wild Boar bar, although there are about 20 in the immediate area, that is the one that shares a plaza with the arena.
I'm going to check around and see if there is a pre-fight event Friday night that looks worthwhile. I've heard something about a bar/club called "Sugar," but I don't know anything about it yet. Last year, Frog Bear had one, but it was on Thursday.

I'll be down there. A group of 7 of us got rooms in Grove City (Closest we could get) and plan on being there around 3 or 4. None of us are super familiar with Nationwide or the surounding area. Ive been to C-Bus dozens of times but I'm usually to hammered to remember where exactly i'm at or how i got there.
We're just planning on finding somewhere withing walking distance of the arena for pre-fight festivities so if anything is going on around there, post it up and we'll try to make it.

If its the one with a Saturday happy hour for $1.50 bottles then that's it. And if you're in the suite above C8, then you are literally right above me.

Brick I obviously have never met you, but I would venture to say that you probably would not like that place unless your into horrible techno music, douche bags, and ridiculous cover charges.
Lodge bar wasn't too bad last time I was in town.

Yeah, I think it is one of those trendy yuppie spots where people actually get dressed up to go out and have a few drinks, but a friend of mine went to the pre-fight there last year and said it was OK, lots of time with some fighters, so I may be able to stomach it for a couple of hours.

Yeah I suppose if it's a UFC pre party it changes the dynamic of the place. At any rate, there will not be a shortage of female OSU co-ed eye candy. But don't forget to get your buzz on before you leave the house, as I am sure you probably wouldn't be too excited paying $5 for a bottle of beer.

They should announce fighters next week for Arnold. If you're a fight club member, you get prime seats for weigh-ins where you can probably meet fighters there too. There might be a pre-fight party on Friday night somewhere so you can meet some fighters there too.

Got my tix so I'm definitely in. Let me know where you all want to meet up.
I'm a member of ufc fight club and their party is immediately following the weigh-ins on Friday @ that frog and wild boar bar u mentioned brick. There is usually a fighter @ these doing pix n autos. At 96 Thiago Alves was there. Anyhow members and their non-member guests (no limit) are allowed to attend.
Not sure I'll be there friday but I'm trying. But that sounds like a good (and close) place for us to meet up sat for a drink.

I wonder if I signed up for fight club tomorrow, if I'd get my card in the mail or whatever I need by next week? Or if I could just print something out saying I'm a member?

Last time I was at the Froggy Bear for a UFC meet n greet, they had the back room closed off for 'special guests'. Not sure if it was for fight club members or some other nonsense. Either way, I got tired of waiting for Rich Franklin to make his rounds around the bar, so I just walked back, acted like I belonged there, and nobody said a thing to me. I even walked up to the complimentary bar and got a free beer. Met up with Rich, chit chatted a bit, got a couple of pictures and another free beer, and went and showed Brick and another buddy of ours the pics.
Then all 3 of us tried another incursion, Brick and I made it without problems, but our buddy had on a short sleeved shirt, so they noticed right away he didn't have the correct wristband credentials. He got booted back to the bar area for the rest of the dregs. Brick and I hung out for a while, mostly for the free beers of course.
Later, when Rich came out to the dreg area, I went to get another picture. He looked at me and said "you again?", but graciously posed for another picture. I then asked him if I could have his hat (see pic below). He gave a polite "no" and moved on. I was kinda liquored up by then, so I thought about giving him some Columbus Special (drunken muay thai knees), grabbing the hat and booking it, but I got lost in the crowd. Good thing, because I don't know how to throw muay thai knees.
Me and Rich hanging in the exclusive back room at the Froggy Bear.

I went to the weigh-ins 2 years ago here in Columbus, and they were free then. As far as I know, they still are.

I still haven't got my official fight club welcome packet or whatever. Once u sign up you can log in to the events page and print a barcode out. This is what you use to gain entrance to the QnA. @ the QnA they give you the wristband and that's what you use for the afterparty.
The weigh-ins are @ the arena and are open to the general public. You just have to b fight club to get into the QnA. Frank Mir is the QnA guest for columbus. Hope this helps.
