Very interested in how Santiago looks at 170 in the UFC. We all know how unsuccessful he was at 185.

If I was justin Edwards i would have pulled out of that fight too. He was going to get murdered
As you said, I'm interested to see Jorge at 170.

Jorge was thrown into the wolves for his 1st 2 UFC fights in his last stint. He has looked solid so far at 170 and this is a good name for Gunnar to be fighting.

So far at 170? He hasn't fought at 170 since before he was first in the UFC...

^Thats f---in weird. For months I thought Jorge dropped to 170 after his release and his last 2 wins were in that division. I check again, and boy was I wrong. Weird.

Santiago has been a disappointment lately. Gunner taps him.

Sincerely doubt that. Jorge has never been tapped, and he's had a long career fighting very tough guys. His achilles heel is getting KO'd

That is true but if he isn't on the top of his game Gunner will catch him.

Yeah I dont know about that. I mean if Maia, Misaki (twice), Khalidov (twice), Jeremy Horn, etc couldnt catch him, I don't see Gunnar doing it. Don't get me wrong, I like Gunnar and think he has a ton of potential and will probably win the fight. Just not by SUB.

If Gunnar wins then it will be by submission.

Gunnar has pretty good stand up as well. I wouldn't be surprised if he caught Jorge with a high kick or something.

Gunnar has 4 wins via strikes and 6 via SUB out of his 10 wins. That's pretty balanced. It's not like he doesn't know how to win by TKO. And against a guy with 6 KO losses and 0 SUB losses, I'd say a TKO is probably Gunnars best bet

It'll be interesting to see how the weight cut goes for Santiago. If he makes the cut well, I think he'll take this.

Santiago collapses on the big show.
Very talented fighter that seems to fall apart when the lights are on him. I hope he does well, but I'm not holding my breathe.

Santiago is a legit bjj black belt,it's highly likely that Nelson might not be able to submit him..I still see Gunnar taking the win with strikes, takedowns and sub attempts, while avoiding a submission himself...Possibly a tko or UD.

Very tough fight to call. Nelson has been on a tear lately, but Santiago has faced many fighters that are way higher caliber than Nelson at this point in his career. It will be interesting to see how Santiago fairs at 170.
