Yeah he is overrated if you ask me, I have always liked him though as a fighter but he always chokes when it comes to big fights so I dont ever see him being champion. Especially with the WEC guys coming over and the division being so packed with talent its going to be even harder for K Flo.
Not overrated in the least. The guy fights top guys and finishes them time and time again. I think he's underrated based on the few losses he's had. Yeah, he lost to Maynard and Penn in recent years- no shame in that.
People complain non-stop about "boring fighters" who never finish then threads get started about how "overrated" a guy is who continuously finishes?
Yeah, he's soooo overrated. I mean look at his losses: Diego Sanchez (fighting two weight classes above his fighting weight), former UFC champion Sean Sherk, BJ Penn (some say one of the greatest of all time) and number one contender Gray Maynard. Yeah, that dude is so overrated.

He is overrated due to the fact that he always chokes when it comes to big fights such as top contender and title fights, Kenny has some good skills and thats the reason why he is overrated because regardless of his skillset he cant manage to become champion and seems like he will always be destined to be a LW gatekeeper. He has some good wins/finishes on his record and has put on some amazing fights but the point is regardless of how good he is he will never be the best even though he has the potential to be.
Kenny is not overrated, he is a great fighter. IMO he's one of the best veteran fighters that's never won a belt.
In the past 5 years he has
11 wins & 3 losses
. The losses coming to Sean Sherk (in his prime), BJ Penn (in his prime) and Gray Maynard ( in his prime).

Guida, Stevenson, & Gomi. His only UFC losses are to Diego at MW (which in hindsight is crazy), Sean Shrek (who was in his prime), B.J. (no shame in that), & Maynard (who is just good). s--- if he fought Edgar I would give Kenny the advantage in that one!

Well these are essentially my exact thoughts. Kenny is a top LW. Aside from Maynard apparently, I'd give him the advantage against anyone. I still think he's able to hold the belt someday, but it has to be soon. Give him Sherk or Miller for (another) #1 contender fight, and put him against the future LW titleholder. Even if it's Maynard, I don't think Gray will be able to hold down Kenny for 5 rounds. In the 3rd round of their fight, Kenny was going all out with all kinds of crazy subs and strikes. If it went 10 extra minutes, Gray would've been caught. Kenflo is a beast.

He's only overrated if the majority of people put him above Maynard or Penn, which they don't. He is ranked above Sherk, but I think that's because Sherk is underrated. He's not overrated as most people don't put him in the top 5 for LW and have dropped him down the latter appropriately as he has lost.
