K1 and MMa have a event together. MMa must pick 5 competitors to compete in the tournament. Hers are the opponents they will face.
All in their prime:
1.Cro Cop
2.Badr Hari
3.Remy Bee
4.Peter Aerts
5.Lebanner
Whoever wins 3 fights wins the tournament, who do you pick that fights MMa to put on your team?
Id probably go with:
1.Overeem
2.Melvin
3.JDS
4.Barry
5.Yvel

Whoa no love for Hoost?
I'd say the K-1 dream team is
1. Ernesto Hoost
2. Peter Aerts
3. Andy Hug
4. Jerome Le Banner
5. Remy Bonjasky
MMA i'd say
1. Cro Cop
2. Machida (thats right, i said it)
3. JDS
4. Anderson Silva
5. Yvel
Just please dont make Cro Cop fight Hoost a fourth time, i'd hate to see him go 0-4

Ya, no Hoost because I figured the MMA team would already be a bot outmatched fighting in K1 and all.
I thought about it though.

K1 Guys win with ease.
Overeem- He would have a shot at winning, but wouldn't the majority of the time.
Manhoef- He always has a puncher's chance, but these guys are on another level.
JDS- Has yet to face a legit striker (CC and Yvel are past their primes) so it's be hard to judge. I doubt he's on the same level as the K1 guys.
Barry- He was successful at K1 in the US. He'd get wrecked by the guys you mentioned. US K1 is far from the same level as Japan.
Yvel- I dn't think his striking is on the same level as K1. He'd have a puncher's chance, but not much more.
I'd say 5-0 for K1.

I pretty much agree except I do give AO and Melvin a good chance.

Now I would, but with Le Banner and Aerts in their primes I don't. CC was a beast in his prime too.

New Topic : NBA vs MMA
1992 US Olympic Team in their prime vs 5 MMA stars. You pick the 5. Who wins in a pickup game?
[/sarcasm] At the risk of being "warned" by a mod. You're an idiot.
www.k-1fans.com/forum/ <== go there, you will have a warmer reception.

The thing is, almost all K-1 guys are either HWs or LWs. There's not much in between. So it's hard to put anyone from MMA outside of those weight classes.
For team MMA, I'd take:
Cro Cop (he should be on the MMA team, K-1 doesn't need him)
Overeem (has already shown he can compete with the K-1 guys)
Anderson Silva (would be a bit small, but rehydrated and in shape he's still about 220)
Fedor (not the best technique, but with his chin and power, I'd give him a shot)
Jose Aldo (to take on one of the MAX guys...maybe Souwer?)

I think prime Andy Hug would beat Hari 7 times outta 10, but alas we'll never know, stupid leukemia
