Who's watching ? And who's ya betting on ?
I am not an avid gambler, but last year I won $250 + my original $20.00 on Summer Bird in the Belmont. My bro won $1000.00 on Mine that bird with a $20.00 bet in the Kentucky Derby.
I'll be working all day tomorrow, so I went and bet tonight.
I put $20.00 on Paddy o Prado (at 20-1)
I put $10.00 on HomeboyKris (at 50-1)
and I played a $3.00 boxed Trifecta with Lookin at lucky & Dublin & Sidneys Candy

Glad you brought this up, 7, I had no idea this was today. As an avid gambler I'm going to have to find me a horse to bet on in this thing. I actually went to Derby once, in the infield, it was quite the bash.

Going to the Derby is one of those things id like to do before I die. I think it would be a blast. Not knowing to much about horse racing, I picked one horse because it is trained by Dutrow ( trained Big Brown) and I picked the other because its ridden by Kent Desormeaux(sp). Kent won me my money last year and Dutrow trained an almost triple crown winner.
My trifecta is just 3 of the favorited horses to win.

The last few years my friend from Kentucky would have a derby party here in Whistler. He'd make us up some great mint julips and we'd make side bets on the race. He moved back to States this past summer though.

I'm in a pool at work, and got stuck with Icehouse. I haven't looked at the odds but I'm sure there not great.

hmmm, no race odds on Bodog. Strange. Some head-to-head, some prop bets, but I can't find just the "7-1" or "5-2" type of stuff.

You mean Icebox, which is at 10 -1 odds, and is also my pick to win on what will be a very, very muddy track.

Yeah I'm about three hours north and we have storms rolling in for the next two days, sounds like a soggy day at Derby.

Supposedly Paddy O'Prado loves the slop. His mudda was a mudda. His fadda was a mudda.
20-1. Wish bodog had betting up...

That's what I said last night to my brother. You don't have a local track you can go bet at ? If I was home, od go bet for you at the track here.

Found the betting on bodog. Put cash on Paddy (20-1) to win, place or show. Also bet Dublin (12-1) to win; had to be done given the city I live in. Wife picked Noble's Promise (12-1) to win and promptly made me look like a total girl by dropping a bet double what I had been doing.
