lol 1 punch on an off balanced jones, out of a primarily even round in which Jones actually landed more than Machida. I could always post machida being dropped like a sack of potatoes but that is too easy.

Maybe because the judges were asleep.

I've been convinced for awhile now that most judges suffer from sleep apnea

We're talking about the first round.
And why was Jones off-balance? Because Machida attacked him when he was kicking.
You act like Jones is flawless. No one is.

yes we are, the entire round was even with Jones landing more strikes. All machida did was get that 1 shot when Jones was off balanced........good shot but that is it.
look up the stats..........i have done it several times and they are posted on this forum somewhere.

From FightMetric (Round 1):
Jones
8 of 27
30%
Machida
8 of 25
32%
The count of significant strikes for the round equals the total strikes.
Where did Jones own Machida on the first round?

ok you got me..........knew it was close and for some reason got it in my mind Jones landed more.
So it was even, with the 1 big shot given to machida.
and i never said "owned" machida in the first round.......only got mistaken for the more strikes
my god it seems people never read and just make up words that they think i post or something

Landed more = owned = pwned.
How long have you been on an MMA forum?
That should be obvious by now.
But seriously, it's interesting how people remember the same events so differently.

These #s are so overrated and overblown anyways. There are so many twists and turns in a round that strikes don't really count like they do in boxing. That's why I've never liked them in MMA. I had Jones winning the round based on control/aggression (far from "owned" though), that little flurry from Machida was too little too late. Regardless of all that, Jones is historically a feel-out type fighter early on, but then he more than makes up for it in round 2 and on. That's when he took Machida down and elbowed the s--- out of him....leading to the GTS. Nighty night Lyoto, keep drinking your pee.

See that's funny, because I have watched all those fights, and yet don't remember Hendricks getting 'outwrestled' at all, and therein lies the problem.
Maybe we just have wildly different definitions of the term.

I agree.
I just find it funny when people say GSP will
easily
outwrestle Hendricks.
