Okay guys, I thought I'd get this going now as the OT has been pretty boring over the last couple of days.
This will be a nice easy challenge to start off. You will have one week from today to complete it.
To the people who haven't signed up yet, if you like what you see and wish to join in, you can. For the next couple of rounds at least. Then we will get into the elimination rounds!

So here is your challenge. I want you to find and photograph a bird. You must hold a bit of paper with your username on it in the picture as well, to discourage cheating. After photographing, post the picture of your bird in this thread (see sign up thread for instructions if you don't know how). I will post a picture when I get home that will show the appropriate format.

So I got two good pictures of a Cardinal and a Blue Jay, but trying to tag my name while capturing a photo of such a small creature that is often somewhat in the distance was more difficult than I anticipated.

RP, that's ok, I found it hard too. Just get some form of ID in there (fingers, whatever). If you can't just post the pics you've got already. This is only a warm up round for practice so it's ok. That goes for everyone else as well!
zach, yours is ok, in fact lateral thinking will be encouraged in the later rounds (and I think Natalie Portman is beautiful, and she was just in a movie called Black Swan). So all good.
