Rumours are circulating that Hector Lombard and Patrick Cote will be the coaches for TUF Austrailia v Canada..Strange to pick Cote as the coach considering he's only had a disputable win since his return. I wonder if this fight(if true) is gonna be at WW or MW.. At least we'll get a good fight out of it though..

Don't like this for a coach fight. If Lombard can't beat Cote, it's definitely time for him to go.

I'm curious what weight class this will be at. Maybe WW and a TUF season will give Lombard time to drop. Either way, Lombard need to beat Cote to keep his job

I don't think they are thinking about cutting Lombard win or lose if they are giving him the TUF coaching job

Let's face it as far as getting their money's worth from either fighter, especially the high priced Lombard AKA (mini Overeem) hasn't worked out according to plans. I hope this isn't just a "rumor" and this contest actually takes place in the WW div. I really believe its the best chance at any real success for Lombard especially, and I would think it could be a fun TUF with the temperments involved. The stakes could be quite high regarding the outcome of this fight

Lombard will be dropping, it has been hinted for a long time and Rashad actually confirmed it on MMAJunkieRadio a couple weeks back

I wouldn't rule out the possibility that just this fight in particular could be contested at MW, just cuz itll be new territory for Hector and it still is for Cote, but both might drop down to WW after...
In saying that I think Cote will probably want it to be at WW to get as much of an advantage as possible. I wouldnt blame him though..

I like the coach selection. I never like when the belt gets held up for TUF. Lombard v. Cote should be an entertaining match-up.

I find these choices kind of silly, you shouldn't try to force TUF: Australia vs Canada if you don't have the coaches. Honestly if it was gonna be Lombard I would have rather seen Ring vs Lombard at MW, or if it was going to be WW that's where Canada has the better fighters in MacDonald, Mein and of course GSP. Looking at a lot of these comments it seems the stigma is that the loser of this fight is going to get cut, probably deservedly so. That being said, it's going to be weird if the winner of this season has a longer career than his coach.
