With the announcement of a Hendo/Franklin rematch and GSP fighting the Swick/Kampmann winner, the only fight left for Anderson is Maia/Nate.
Can't say I'm disappointed, but I would've liked to have seen Dan get another shot first.

I didn't want to see Hendo v. Silva yet. Maia and Marq have both been paying their dues just as much as Hendo, and doing so in their respective division. Hendo hasn't been proving himself to be the best MW; he's only beaten PaulHarris and Bisping. Maia has been owning everyone so far and definitely deserves a shot before Hendo. The same argument can be said for Okami (minus the owning of all his opponents, but he has seen more success).

maia/nate makes sense to me. Both of these guys deserve a title shot if they win their next fight. Ive been saying for a long time that maia has the tools to beat Anderson Silva so I'm hoping he gets the win against Nate so I he can fight Anderson and I can look like I know what im talking about for once :lol:

Rich Franklin Dominated that division and he would still be the best if Anderson wasnt there so a win against him I guess is not proving himself right, I guess a win against Sonnen that Mia had is bigger than a win againt Franklin :roll: Nate got destroyed by Anderson at least Hendo gave him a good fight, Hendo actually won that first round. Nate will get destroyed again and Mia is one dimensional you cant be one dimensional and beat a guy like Anderson, you can beat second tier fighters but not an elite like Anderson

I really don't think Maia is as one dimensional as people say he is.
He caught Sonnen with a nice punch that pretty much sealed his submission, and the takedown was very impressive to boot.
I really hope Maia beats Marquardt, I don't think he will be too much to handle like most people think he will be.

My point was there are some guys who are paying their dues in the MW division.

I don't think the winner Kampann vs Swick will get a title shot
rumor was that the winner of Hendo/Bisping would get a title shot, that didn't happen, which leads me to believe that there will be a super fight between GSP & A.SIlva
also GSP's injury will heal up, he does not need surgery and will come back sooner than expected

If he cant get by nate it doesnt mean he doesnt have what it takes to beat Silva. Maia has a better chance against Anderson than Marquardt, i really believe that. having said that I dont think well get to see Maia vs Silva because Marquardt will probably out decision him.
