I've always thought that HW should be openweight just like in boxing. HAve the weight classes go something like...
125 flyweight
135 bantamweight
145 featherweight
155 lightweight
165 welterweight
180 middleweight
195 light heavy weight
215 cruiserweight
>215 heavyweight
How would this go? Do you guys think this would work or does mma need a weight limit?

Well Ive always thought that they should come up with a SHW(Super Heavy Weight) 265 lbs and up. Also the UFC should open there eyes and open a featherweight class.

Why would the ufc open a featherweight division. They already have every major featherweight in the wec. And. Really are there any +265 lb fighters that u r dying to see in the octagon?

They would be moving them from the WEC not making their own. And just because their arent any current guys +265 doesnt mean in the future their wont be.

I had always thought heavyweight should be open but that they should also make a weight class between LHW and HW if they did this.

That's what I have thought. I moved LHW down 10 lbs and then threw in cruiserweight at 215. It cud be ajusted to go LHW at 200 and CW at 220

Hell most of you complain now that the current HWs aren't 'skilled' enough.......and you want a super HW? Listen people like Brock and Carwin are freaks....most people that boarder line 300 don't and will never look like that, and won't be as athletic.
The gap is pretty big for HW but the higher the weight the less of a difference 30 or so pounds make, if the other guy is heavier.
The open weight idea is ok I guess.....don't really know what to think about it though. I mean the only ones that could competitively compete(in most cases) would be LHWs but most of them walk around at 220-230 so it wouldn't be hard to make HW.

All this talk will cease by the end of the year. Eventually, every fighter has to prove his mettle in striking, offensive and defensive. Brocks next couple fights he's gonna be at a MASSIVE disadvantage in the stand up. If he beats Cain somehow he'll get JDS next, most likely. If he loses to Cain he'll end up with either Shane, Big Country or Frank again. (maybe not immediately, but he'll have to go through one of them eventually)
Cain, JDS, Shane and Nelson can all make Brock look stupid standing. Frank, as long as he maintains the push towards getting stronger and improving his TDD, will make Brock look even worse than Shane did, in the stand up. Just because Shane did what he did to Frank doesn't mean Lesnar would. For one, can Lesnar even throw an effective uppercut?? Even if he can, all Frank has to do is hit the button and Lesnar's instinct so far seems to be to back up with his head down. I personally think Franks best bet in a rubber match with Lesnar is to get into the same clinch he did with Shane. Only this time he has to let his hands go with his own uppercuts and hooks and I honestly don't think Brock will last.
Bottom line, Brock needs to make about 5 years worth of improvements in a few short months. If he doesn't then all this talk stops and HW will once again be the place where the toughest Sons of Bs go to prove they're the toughest Son's of B's in the world, no matter how big they are nor how small they are.
If a 230 lb. man can rule the HW division for close to ten years, a 250 lb. man shouldn't have any problems doing it for one NIGHT!
