If Marcus ends up being not so good at fighting, his great attitude could translate well into broadcast work of some sort.

Blue, I think.
He was definantly impressive on the show though and the way he applies that Bjj game to MMA is amazing, I'd like to see him throw more strikes from the top personally, that lack of top offense is why I feel he loss to Brendan, but other than that his ground game is solid. Especially when you take into consideration the lack of solid grapplers at heavyweight.
WIn or lose I think he should stay with the UFC for at least two more fights, even if for no other reason than he'll sell.
By the way I'm picking Mittrione by T/KO, too much speed and too much power for Big Baby to handle at this point.

Same here but he doesn't seem like he would be too upset if that happened. He's older, and he even said that MMA is more of a hobby for him.

I really enjoyed Marcus fighting. I mean even if he doesnt make it in the UFC he played 7 seasons of professional football, he doesnt need the money. S

+1, and not even a great blue belt. Cole miller was a purple when he did his stint on the show, how much more technical was he on the mat? The guy was throwing up high guards looking for omoplata's quick smart. Marcus's top game is pretty good but i dont think its at purple belt level. Purple belt is an expert level, its the first level you can teach, and i dont think big baby is quite there yet.
Still with his size and strength even a blue belt is dangerous.

The armbar he sunk in from his back was impressive, mostly for the speed in which he applied it. He has some solid top-game, and I like the way he likes to try and trap the head between his legs, and lands blows. Its totally different, but with his power, its damn effective.
What Marcus REALLY needs to learn, is stand-up. Some boxing skills, and maybe a splash of either muay thai or American kickboxing, and he would be a solid fighter. The one thing that works against him though, is his age. He isn't exactly a spring chicken.

Yeah, his stand up needs serious work or he'll have trouble getting fights to the ground consistently. He needs a really good jab and some footwork.

I agree. If he can master a jab and learn to work angles with quick foot work he'll be a headache for anyone at heavyweight. I really want to see Marcus get a good stand up game and fight Cheick Kongo....god that was would awesome.
Two huge black dude with basketball boobies going at it
lol.

dude has no chin. he will never have a chin and as such will not really ever make it as a UFC fighter.
I was far more impressed by Mitrione's ability to escape on the ground and given his powerful striking, I think he has a shot at making a solid career out of fighting.

Bad chin? How many heavy weights lack knock-out power? It is easy to forget when normal sized people aren't handy for reference, but those guys are huge. Mittrione, for example, is 6'3" - I had no idea until they posted his stats.
I agree that Marcus would be a good broadcaster. No idea where or for what, though.

He could have a chin, just those guys throw so f**king hard, you never know...

he has no chin. Schaub and Mitrione hit him with good shots, but certainly not wind up hard shots and went down like a sack of potatoes. Jones just doesn't have the chin to handle big time fighters.

the thing is marcus jones is a good guy, but definity his wins in the house just show how bad this show was on talent
sorry but the guy has no stand up game, in his fight against mitrione it was like see a mommy chasing mitrione
jones has now the worst stand up game in the UFC, the guy has skills on the ground, no question about that, but also has no chin, no cardio, there are alot of holes in his game, i just cant see him beating someone in the roster in the ufc right now, i even can see kimbo getting a chance against him since he has a glass chin and all the thing that you need is a one good punch.
i hope he works in his stand up game, he was so great when he play in the NFL, he has speed, but definity he has more holes that skills right now in MMA
