I bet her has a solid future ahead of him if he is teaching BJJ, he is an amazing grappler who many could learn from. Was always a fan of his, wish him the best

I don't blame him. The Bocek of 5 years ago would've been able to submit Mike De La Torre IMO.
He had solid grappling and one of the top jitz guys in that division for years. Good luck to him!

I think he used to be Dana White's jiu jitsu instructor

Kind of sad. Fun dude to watch. Only ever really lost to the studs in his division (Edgar, Miller, Bendo, RDA and Danzig). Not a hall of fame career, but definitely nothing to hang your head about either.

Wise decision. He made himself a nice respectable name and career, giving him other good options to provide...
it's good when guys see themselves slowing down and are smart enough to get out before the kill themselves

Props to him for not getting KOed 50 times before retiring. Was never a fan, but always like seeing guys go out on their own terms

de la torres UFC career has shown a changing of the guard in the UFC. Boeck a few years ago would have done to him what Ortega did

Good decision by Bocek. It's refreshing to see guys like him and Kampmann step away at the right time.
