Thiago Alves is solid and has great leg kicks. Matt Brown has been a man possessed when he has been fighting lately though, he's been on fire and running through guys. Who wins?
I have no clue.
Matt Brown on not being complacent

It hurts me to say it, but I think Brown takes it due to his tough gritty style and he will make it a brawl and not let Alves breath. He won't let it become a technical kickboxing bout where Alves shines.

Aww it only hurts for a little while
When they first announced this fight, I thought Brown deserved better but after taking the knee jerk reaction away and thinking about it this fight is the perfect baramoter for both guys. Could turn out to be one helluva Fight!

Yeah Brown is going to have to keep the fight at his pace cause if he let's Alves set the pace he will get lit up and possibly finished. They both have the skills at this point now it's just who ever comes in with the better gameplan.

I think Browne will win by being the form fighter out of the 2 at the moment. It's potentially a slug fest and FOTN. We shall see..

Brown walks through strikes and sets a pace that overwhelms everyone he fights that's not named Chris Lytle. I love Pitbull, but the Immortal will live up to his moniker.

Alves wins 29-28. Wins a technical striking match over the brawling style of Brown in the first 2 rounds, fades out in the 3rd but Brown isn't able to get the KO/sub.

Brown won't be able to walk through Thiago's strikes, I got Alves.

I can't remember anyone who has been able to walk through Alves's strikes

Alves has went 2-4 in his last six fights, not to forget the four losses are to GSP, Fitch, Story and Kampmann. Alves also hasn't fought in a year so that's something also to take into consideration.
For me I want to say Matt Brown for sure, but Alves is the best fighter Brown has fought. Mein I would say is pretty much on the same level as Alves if not, on a higher on.
I'd rather see Brown win but I think Thiago is going to pull it off.
