This may sound dumb (not in my head though). I was wondering about this earlier and was hoping that someone may have an answer for me.
When a medical suspension is given out which reads for example: •Frank Mir: Suspended until Sept. 10 with no contact until Aug. 26 for precautionary reasons.
•Georges St. Pierre: Must have groin injury cleared by an orthopedic doctor. Otherwise, suspended until Jan. 8. Even if cleared, suspended until Aug. 11 with no contact until Aug. 2 for precautionary reasons
How do the Athletic Commissions monitor that a fighter is not training and also training contact or no contact. To medically suspend a fighter from competition is fair enough and easy to regulate but to me it seems near impossible to make sure that they do not have contact training ?
Whats everyone's thoughts on this?
I am sure that the AC isn't able to monitor the fighters every movement, but the fighter understands, and accepts, the suspensions. Plus, their trainers SHOULD be on top of stuff like this, keeping guys off the mats until they are cleared again.

Thats true but if the fighter wants to do some type of physical workout then the trainer can only watch and disagree as he is being paid for his services. What I was getting at would/could the AC's impose any futher punishment to the fighter for dis-obeying what they set as a fair time frame for recovery.
