He was competitive against Lamas and Elkins also, it's not like he got destroyed

ya, thats what i meant by hes better than his record shows lol, and yeah he almost finished elkins and the lamas fight could have been scored for him, but i thought they got it right.

I still don't know what's wrong with Hioki. he's shown this in his fights in Japan as well. in fights he goes through a lull it seems, and it costs him decisions. I wondered if maybe he should try to move up to LW.
this seems like a winnable fight for Hioki cause of his height and reach advantage he'll have. it'll be a nice ground battle if it goes there.
but at some point I want to see Aoki vs Hioki before either finish their careers.

Hioki has been a mediocre fighter in the UFC like many transplanted Japanese talents.

And without the fight pass they probably wouldn't be doing all the extra shows and then this fight would never take place. So some people getting to see a fight is better than nobody
