MMAWeekly
Fresh off his knockout of Danny Castillo at UFC on FX 5, Michael Johnson will fight for a 4th time in 2012 when he faces Ultimate Fighter veteran Myles Jury at UFC 155.
Sources close to the fight confirmed the bout to MMAWeekly.com on Wednesday. ESPN.com first reported the match-up via Twitter.
Michael Johnson has had a very successful 2012 campaign thus far going 3-0 with wins over Shane Roller, Tony Ferguson and the afore mentioned knockout over Danny Castillo.
Now the Blackzilian fighter will try to move to 4-0 facing a fellow TUF veteran in December.
Following the reality show, Jury dispatched of former housemate Chris Saunders by submission in the first round, and now looks to pick up a second win in the UFC in December.
The two lightweights will meet at UFC 155, although their placement on the card has not been determined yet.

step down in competition for Micheal wow...
I mean you are talking about Myles who is 1-0 in the UFC and Johnson who is 4-2 with wins over Castillo, Ferguson, Roller and Faaloloto.
Beside Faaloloto I think all the other fighters Micheal Beat are on top of Myles.

michael johnson is gonna win this one by KO.
johnson is slowly becoming a great fighter, during the TUF i honestly thought that he was boring as hell, gsp picked him first i think, and i never knew why, but he is slowly starting to show improvement, and if he keeps getting better he might one day be fighting for the title

I actually think Jury takes this. I haven't been to impressed with Johnson, although he has fought much better competition than Jury has

Wow this is a serious step down in competition for Johnson, however, Jury is not an easy fight. He is undefeated with all of his 10 wins being 1st round finishes. I expect his to be a competitive fight, but I think Johnson is just better in all aspects. I see Johnson taking this, most likely by decision.

This fight really makes no sense. Jury is a tough dude but Johnson is fast, has better.....well....lets just say he beats Jury everywhere except maybe in heart and toughness. But heart and toughness can win you fights no doubt.

Aside from catching Castillo and finishing him, Danny pretty much was owning him up until that point. Michael definitely has the power and finishing capability in this fight, but I think Jury is gonna make it extremely competitive and could very well upset MJ in this one.

Really don't get this booking. Johnson is a marketable TUF finalist on a 3 fight win streak and fights a guy in his 2nd UFC fight?

Not really. Castillo looked slow and got a good punch in and basically put all his weight on him. Michael was never in any trouble. I think everyone knew Michael was going to TKO him in the next round.

I was really hoping they'd give Johnson a step up in competition, no offense to Myles, but this seems like a step down.

Johnson has looked good so far, but he's still a 12-6 fighter with 2 UFC losses. Let's see how he does here. Getting more fights and more experience isn't always a bad thing.
