The middleweight division has improved but Im not sure how Sonnen says its the toughest.If they get Lombard,Shields fights some at 85 and Vitor actualy fights at 85 it will make it better.The best thing that could happen is that AS vacates the belt gets beatdown by Shogun and comes back to 85 as a contender.

well I agree that it is a little more weak than other divisions, but to say there are no other good fights after Sonnen and Vitor is rediculous.

Maybe he has well rounded skills but when hasnt he wilted when he had a big fight ill give you the Maia fight that was a punch on the button but i wouldnt be suprised to see Maia win if they fought again.
Wow lot of hate for Nate the great. Dude was suppose to be the number one contender before the Sonnen fight.---Which very few people gave Sonnen a chance before that fight.
Nate is a good match up for Silva, plus as much as I hate to say it Bisping has a lot of tools and experience and is a threat to any guy coming up. Maia needs to improve his striking game while keeping his ground work top shelf. Okami is no joke, always one of the most underrated guys out there, Wanderli is now in the mix, Mark Munoz, Akiyama.
If the UFC could pick up Lombard and then Jacare it could be one of the deepest division in the sport.
And you say there is Anderson Silva, Vitor Belfort and Sonnen and then there is nothing else like the three names you stated mean nothing, when they are incredibly talent fighters that in themselves should not be over looked.

I still think Nate got caught off guard by Sonnen and that he'll be back in contention soon. I hope he gets Bisping!

I'm saying getting a title shot, Marquaurdt has to 3-4 wins aging didn't forget about him and yes i have seen him fight i don't miss many cards
