A bantamweight matchup between T.J. Dillashaw (6-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and Mike Easton (13-1 MMA, 3-0 UFC) has been verbally agreed to for December's "UFC on FOX 5: Henderson vs. Diaz" event, and bout agreements are expected to be finalized shortly.
UFC officials recently announced the addition to the card.
UFC on FOX 5 takes place Dec. 8 at Seattle's KeyArena and features a headliner of UFC lightweight champion Benson Henderson vs. top contender Nate Diaz. The evening's main card airs on FOX.
Dillashaw vs. Easton takes place on the evening's preliminary festivities, though UFC officials have yet to set an official bout order for the evening's undercard.
Dillashaw seeks his third-straight UFC win after posting victories over Vaughan Lee and Walel Watson. The Team Alpha Male product was a favorite to win "The Ultimate Fighter 14" but was upset by John Dodson in the series finale. The setback remains Dillashaw's lone professional loss, and he's since bounced back with the two wins.
Meanwhile, "The Hulk" Easton brings an eight-fight winning streak to the fight. A Team Lloyd Irvin and Alliance MMA fighter, Easton made his UFC debut in October 2011. He's since earned victories over Byron Bloodworth, Jared Papazian and Ivan Menjivar. While Easton's teammate, Dominick Cruz, is currently the UFC bantamweight champion, a win over a recognizable name like Dillahsaw would certainly earn him some added recognition in the weight class.
