After an exciting Round 4 we are down to two competitors. Congratulations to our finalists Archean_Life and Scott123. They have proven their superior musical tastes round after round and are both well on their way to becoming the historical first ever MJCFT Champion!!
MJCFT Matchups:
We are now down to our final 2 competitors.
The Category
:
The FINAL round category is!
Best Movie Soundtrack
. Your task is to choose 5 different songs based on 5 common movie scenes. The 5 scenes are as follows:
1. Opening Credits
2. Action Sequence
3. Montage
4. Romantic Scene
5. Closing Credits
Include a very brief 1-3 sentence description on what kind of scene you had in mind when you chose that song. For instance, with the action sequence did you envision a fight scene, a car chase scene, a get away scene etc? The voting will be based on list vs list, not individual categories. This is a little bit complicated so feel free to post any questions and I'll do my best to guide you in the right direction. Remember, the categories are all very vague on purpose so if you are thinking action movie, then make selections for all the categories with that in mind. If you are thinking more of a comedy then use that as your theme with your picks.
THE DEADLINE:
Sunday Sept 27th at 12:00pm
NOON
PST. This is gives you a full week but I will of course begin sooner if we get them in sooner
So send me your selections via PM and I'll post them up ASAP for voting along with youtube links so everyone can listen to your selection. Be specific in your PM's.
I need the exact song title and the artist.
It doesn't matter how you decide what song just as long as you PM by the deadline. I welcome anyone who wants to include a youtube link in their PM, however it is not required.

Is this supposed to be a "hypothetical" movie, or putting new music to an existing real movie? Are all five scenes supposed to be from the same hypothetical movie? If this is a hypothetical movie - can we give it a title and a short description to set the context for the music choices?

Yes it should be a "hypothetical" movie. If you would like to include details only because it will help us understand why you chose the songs you did then that is fine and ,in fact, encouraged. But I certainly want to keep the focus on the songs and not the movie. My idea behind this was for each of you to put together what you feel would be the "best movie sound track" so any information and details you give us about the movie should directly relate to your song choice and why it is the best.
Basically, every song choice should fit, in your opinion, the category you selected it for and the songs should relate to each other in the context of the genre of movie you had in mind.
I hope that makes sense
