Good Luck Have Fun Don't Die

This one is free on Hulu now. Stars Sam Rockwell as a a "time traveler from the future" who shows up in a diner telling everyone that AI is going to destroy the world unless he and a group of 6 people from the diner stop it. Craziness ensues.

I really enjoyed this one. It's completely gonzo and has a lot of over the top satire and "Wait, what?" going on throughout.

I will say that it does overstay it's welcome a bit at 2 hours and 10 minutes... but I was entertained for the most part with only mild stretches of, "come on, let's get to the end already"

All in all, I recommend it... but, go in expecting more of a dark comedy then a movie that is going to try to fundamentally change the way you think about life.

Overall: 8/10 for me.. I enjoyed it, even if it could have used a bit of editing.

Saw this in the theater and loved it as well. I can't really explain it, but to me it had a "British" kind of style to it. It almost reminded me a little bit of 12 Monkeys.

Definitely mashed up elements of The Matrix, Terminator, Vanilla Sky, Black Mirror and 12 Monkeys... but put a dark comedy/absurdist spin on them.

I agree that it's not a traditional comedy where it's a laugh/joke/punchline a minute... it's more dry sarcastic humor with some dark hyperbole and a few jokes sprinkled in. I get where you're going with the Brit style, even though it's not traditionally British comedy.

I'm looking around at reviews and I see a lot of people bitching about how it was confusing... I didn't find it confusing at all.

It's messy at times, but it's intentionally messy.

If there is one gripe on my side it's that it really should have been a tight 1:45 runtime... there was no need for it to stretch to 2:10. Could have cut some fluff/bloat and got the same payoff.
