Yea, it wasn't 'terrible' or anything, but it was a huge letdown on pretty much all fronts.
The action was lame and nonsensical. The big reveal was, "wait, that's it?" and even the SFX seemed dated.

Not absolutely awful, but very...meh. If you hate character deconstruction, for sure pass on this one. I personally don't mind it as long as it's interesting enough. I don't mind depressing and dark either, which this movie definitely is, especially at first. Then the last half just turns too dull. I can appreciate what they were going for, and the dialogue was delivered well, just not enough happening. When compared to the first act, you can't help but think "wtf is going here" I really think they fumbled the ending as well.

Hokum 8/10. The film stars Adam Scott as an author who travels to a hotel in Ireland, unaware it may be haunted.
Pretty good horror flick to watch this season. Few jump scares and good creepy vibe. Its a slow burn.
