I cringed inside slightly when I saw the headline because you know DW is gonna say "Yes" no matter what. But nomatter how great Ali was as a boxer and just a figure, you can't take away from the decades Judo Gene put in. Even today, the man is the first guy in the Octagon to congratulate Ronda after she wins. He's STILL a big influence in MMA. In MMA, Ali has nothing on Gene.
I've honestly thought Ali was like the old school Silva. His head movement, taunts, quickness and everything else. I think if he grew up in this era he would have been a beast.

For sure. In Alis prime though he would've been a LHW to CW at his peak in today's game. When Henry Cooper fought Ali, Henry would've been a Super Middleweight. Ali would've probably still tooled the likes of monster sized Valuev as he would've been far too slow for Ali.
