I DK if I'd call his comp some of the best MW. The guy has gotten busted twice for performance enhancing. Not a good character, his 3 fight win streak after Kampmann was decent. Was Kampman at 185 for that one?

Busted once. The other time he was doing what several other fighters are doing but he just didn't go about it properly. Then he didn't fight. Still a cheater but I'll take a 'cheater' who is entertaining over some boring schlub. I watch MMA to be entertained and the 'sporting' aspect' matters very little to me at this point.

The Marquardt that used to finish fights? The Marquardt that would recklessly go for subs and ko's? The pre-Silva-Ko Marquardt. That guy looked unstoppable. After Sipva he lost his confidence, started cheating, and lost his mojo. He looks good again. Confident, strong (naturally), and looks like he has nothing to lose. Woodley was top 20, and thats where I'll rank him right now. He's gotta beat someone top 10 at WW before I'll rank him higher than that. Chael showed what a big strong wrestler can do to him.
Tough to say where he ranks at Welterweight. He doesn't have enough high profile wins at this weight class to really break through in the rankings, but he has the skills of a top 5 fighter. Fighting in Strikeforce isn't going to move him up the ladder, he'd have to come into the UFC and fight a guy like Condit, Diaz, Ellenberger, Fitch, ect to really see where he stacks up.

Marquardt was caught the first time in his UFC debut.........so technically he cheated at least 4 fights before the Silva fight.
i have always liked Nate...........great fighter and don't really care about the TRT stuff.
agree with the ranking you gave him though.......SF's WW division was one of the weakest divisions in all of MMA.......and woodley was like the ONLY wrestler, so this win doesn't do much for rankings.
