Fights I'd like to see at some point....
Koscheck vs. Hardy, Condit
Alves vs. Kampman, Hardy
Howard vs. Story, Lytle
Olivera vs. Cerrone, maybe Lauzon, Cole Miller
What will probably happen is: Miller's fight will depend on how quickly he can come back and whoever is available out of Sherk, Florian, Sotiropoulos and Dunham. Olivera will get Stevenson, maybe Lauzon. Alves will get somebody pretty good- Ellenberger perhaps, or potentially Sanchez/Kampman/Condit/Diaz/etc. Koscheck vs. Hardy would be standard UFC- both off losses, trash talk, etc.
What's really interesting to me is how up in the air the rankings are at 170 and 155...
Fitch has been the constant atop the division, but between Shields, Alves, Koscheck, Condit, Kampman, etc. it's anyone's guess after that. Shields squeaked by Kampman, Kampman squeaked by Condit, Condit just looked great and smoked Hardy, Alves has been inconsistent but just looked great (and smoked Kos awhile back)....and now BJ is lurking around.
-155 is just as messy. Edgar and Maynard certainly aren't in the GSP/Anderson category. The old guard of Florian and Sherk may have finally been surpassed by Dunham and Sotiropoulos. Miller is quietly making a case.I don't think Olivera is done. And now we add Henderson, Pettis and Cerrone. And no division has more useful gatekeepers- Guida, Gomi, Griffin, etc.
