That's not a good diagnosis.

However, this year was trending bad already. Let's tank this shit with Tanner McKee and get rid of Sirianni at the end of the year. And I'm not a Sirianni hater. I think he's a good coach but coaches like him and Dan Campbell have a short shelf life. Those big personality coaches can inject some life into dead franchises and fire up a young team. Sirianni actually got them over the top... these guys usually have Dan Campbell-itis. They get so close but then some dumb coaching decisions or penalties or bad play calls in big spots keeps then from getting over the hump in the big game. By year 5 the big mouth style doesn't get guys attention as much as in year 1 and you see guys start getting sloppy... you see turnovers and penalties. Guys start making comments in the locker room when things go bad...

Assuming Hurts is back next year and healthy, I think Mike Tomlin would be a great coach for this team. His personality is MUCH more in line with Hurt's no nonsense, non-flashy style. I think they would mesh very well. And get that man a coordinator that will stick around for a while. 6 coordinators in 6 years is ridiculous. I think this team needs some Tomlin-style stability with this QB and we'd be better off in the long run.
