It's got nothing to do with technology or your condescending example they could get out of sync when they reset the clock a play or two earlier by less than whole second

Again don't fucking care I just asked where did that video of the actual review process came out from in your opinion
Honestly don't care either. If it was UF, id be up in arms. For the sake of this conversation, during replay, They could simply have a back up clock, or added a second of simply pause their clock then hit record to show 1 sec left. There are probably a 1000 ways to "rig" that.

My take on the WMU thing is, replay is completely broken.

It started out with the sole purpose to fix "clear and obvious " mistakes/errors. Things like players stepping out of bounds or not, or obvious clock/procedural errors

I don't know what they are doing now, but saying that it was clear that there was 00:00.04 or some other absurd fractional amount of time left when a player made contact with the ball is so far outside of what replay officiating was designed to do.

That said, I don't know what the answer is. If there was 3 seconds left then the replay officials should be able to overturn an obvious error where the tumekeeper let the clock run and said the game was over

This is just ridiculous, and it definitely calls the integrity of the game into question.

I agree in the sense that those fractions of time are arbitrary throughout the game anyway

Just like spotting the football half an inch forward or backward every play

I saw some chick on espn say it was all cuz of the yellow line graphic creating a broadcast delay.
