Lemieux was a scumbag, but he was the NHL's answer to Robert Horry, a guy who was at his best when the chips were down in the postseason. Stanley Cups with three different teams. Not sure, but he might be the only guy to ever do that.

gotta disagree with that, I think That award goes to Mark Messier. 6 Stanley Cups. played in 236 play off games and has 295 points in the play offs. only player in NHL history to captain 2 different teams to Stanley Cups. and how could anyone forget about 1994 when the Mess guaranteed victory in game 6 of the semi's against the Devils then goes and scores a hat trick.

I can't tell what you're disagreeing about. What 'award?' If you're saying Messier was a better player than Lemieux, well that's a no-brainer. If you're saying he was 'the Robert Horry,' you're denegrating Messier. All I meant was that Lemieux was, like Horry, a regular season journeyman who every team wanted in the playoffs.
Messier, in terms of talent, leadership, and being clutch was one of the top ten players ever. I make no such claim for Lemieux.

you said that Lemieux is the Robert Horry of the NHL. I asumed that you ment Lemieux was the most clutch/big time/ big game preformer in the NHL bcause that was what Horry was in the NBA, and you said he was the best when the chips were down. and i said no Messier is the best clutch/big time/big game player in the nhl. I said that award goes to mess meaning he wins the award for most clutch player.
