i am the dead last person on the list of nick lentz supporters, but numbers dont lie. he is 4-0-1 in the UFC, and he has 20 victories with only 3 losses. so my question is, will nick lentz become a contender, will his grinding style keep him in the back of the line,or is it only a matter of time before he is exposed for being a one dimensional fighter?

Even though he should have lost his last fight, people act like Lentz got destroyed. Most of those people even never saw the fight which is ridiculous. I did see it though. Lentz did really good and the fight was non stop action. Fight of the night material. Lentz is pretty good and he is getting a lot more hate then he deserves.

He's got a decent game, with solid wrestling, but imo its not enough to compete with the cream of the crop at LW

I'm a fan of Lentz. He's not too flashy, but he gets the job done. The fight against Emerson (I think) was pretty boring, but that was because he wanted no part of that stand up. The Griffin fight was good, even if he probably should have lost it. I want to see the Lowe fight, since he finally got a finish and it sounds like it was pretty back and forth. Honestly though, the guy has 4 wins and is relegated to the opening slot on a fight night, that just doesn't seem fair. I understand he's not the most exciting, but the guy gets wins.

Hes not an impressive fighter at all and very very few people enjoy watching his fights. Dana is still punishing him for the s--- he pulled at UFC 118 when he was given the opportunity to fight on live TV and then put on the worst, most boring fight I've ever seen.

That and he just gets by when he wins. He has some good wins but we ALL know he isn't ready for the top lw's. They are doing him a favor by giving him entry level lw's.
If you didn't see the Lowe/Lentz fight I was extremely pleased with it. He came out throwing leather like it was nobodys buisness got rocked a couple times but it was entertaining as he'll. Maybe it was Lowes wrestling that forced Lentz to strike and not grapple f--- but hey ill take it anyday. Any good wrestler with hands is going to put him in deep s---

Sure, give the guy a step up in competition and see how it goes, I don't think he'll last long once he starts getting bigger names. How about Joe Stevenson? Or was he cut yet? I can't remember hearing about him getting cut. But then again, its not really fair to give a guy on a winning streak a fight with a guy on a losing streak.
lentz is so boring that he could string together 10 wins in the ufc and fight for the title and it would still be on the undercard!
you know a guy is boring when he has had 5 fights or whatever in the ufc and people are clutching at straws saying "well this ONE fight was kinda good" etc
it doesnt matter if he is good or not.. dana knows that if he puts lentz on the main card straight away the card is weakened and people are going to treat it as a 4 fight card, rather then 5. it doesnt matter how many fights he wins he will remain on the undercard where he belongs until he can give people entertainment for their bucks cos thats what business is all about, and the UFC is a business 1st, sport 2nd
