Good afternoon my children. I apologize for the Delay with the list but much excitement has been happening and I The Lord of Pestilence have been hard at work tending the Gardens of Decay. Without further ado:
Number 13
KingofAbuelos
KingofAbuelos (aka John Morgan) is essentially the reason for this list even existing. KingofAbuelos is the father of Fantasy Fighting here on Junkie. After a successful career at MMAWeekly, KingofAbuelos brought that idea to a new platform here at MMAJunkie. What many dont realize though is that without Fantasy Fighting, KingofAbuelos may have never become MMA Jounalist of the Year John Morgan. KOA was a fantasy fighter and poster at MMAWeekly during the mid 2000's and found some levels of success. But it was there that an opprotunity afforded itself for him to began writing recaps of TAGG Radio. From there his hard work and dedication lead from a part time gig to a full time career covering mixed martial arts. Make no mistake though, KingofAbuelos was not done paying it forward.
KingofAbuelos brought fantasy fighting into the MMAJunkie Forums and created what has become the top league across the entire fantasy fighting landscape and is arguably the best league ever created. KingofAbuelos did more the just bring fantasy fighting to MMAJunkie he looked for ways to improve the sport. This Man is a current HOFer and without him, who knows where fantasy fighting might be today or the fighters that may have never stepped inside the e-octogon. Although he doesn’t fight as much anymore one can see his influence on fantasy fighting to this day. The reason for is his lower end number is the fact of his absence. Unfortunately KOA is not nearly as active in the JFF world any more due to his successful career. I believe any of my children would have made the same decision.
Lists of acomplishments:
Created Junkie Fighting Championship on April 19, 2008 with its first event being held at UFC 83.
Introduced live scoring that night for the first time and laid the groundwork that lead to the live scoring log.
Donated a belt he used to use with fantasy football
First Inductee to the MMAJunkie Hall of Fame for his contributions to the sport.

and if you keep that in perspective, of all people in the FF world him being ranked 20-25 is pretty good. I am #1.

Eh, he has to make the list, he created the league and without him it might not be here.
Also came up with live scoring concept

His HoF pic should be a picture of him and his lavender jacket of absolute victory.
Nice read.

If Morgan never left fantasy fighting(unrealistic considering his job) he would prob be in top 5 with you and I

well, with john morgan being out of the way, if buffaloblue isn't #1, this list is rather inaccurate.
here's hoping i end up on this list, so i can say "i am, empirically, a more influential figure in fantasy fighting than John Morgan, creator of the league."

i was unaware of his role in actually creating the scoring concept and helping to lay the bricks for the logs.
i always figured it was you or elfudge or someone at weekly like Tokyudo who had thought of that stuff.

He logged everything by hand. Then scored them by in the spreadsheet.
Nothing automated about it, I took the spreadsheet they had as the baseline when creating the scoring log.

i was also unaware John got his start as an mma writer essentially by participating in FF.
this was nurgle's most informative piece yet. i'm glad he stepped his game up like i kept telling him to.

Yeah, he was managing a Kingofabuelos restaurant by day, coming home, listening to the show and writing recaps for free but it ended up getting his foot in the door.
He then went part time with Junkie cause Dann really like his work and then went full time.
Amazing story. If not for fantasy fighting, it may not have ever happend.

this is about influence. what have you done to influence anything? winning has no real influence. you didn't change how we fight or how we train. at least metalmike00 (who, no offence, i wouldn't have put on this list if i was making it) helped cause a ruckus that lead to the creation of a new rule.
what have you done (besides win), ciggle?
absolutely nothing. unless you want to count all the threads about how irritating and bad a smack talking you are as influence. which you shouldn't.
