Little Nog made his debut and got schooled by Eddie Brilz of all people but the judges gave him the fight on his name. Nog somehow gets to step up anyway and fight an undefeated guy in Bader. He gets dominated again, even Cecil Peoples had to agree it was 30-27. No more Nog, he's just not that good. Look forward to the Bader v Jones fight.

Nog didn't fight Brilz in his UFC debut, he destroyed Luis cane in like 3mins in the first Round in his first UFC fight.
ps : It's Jason Brilz , not Eddie lol

he did not make his debut against Brilz, he won his debut agianst Luiz Cane.
He was not dominated by Bader, it was a close fight, but a win no for Bader.
Your thread = Fail.

Eh, I think the OP has a point. The Nogs get built up as super-fighters by the promotion and the commentators and they just aren't that good.
Quite frankly, every time a 'legend' steps into the ring that I haven't seen before (yes, I'm relatively new to the sport), I tend to roll my eyes at the comments and root for the other guy... and most of the time I seem to root for the winner.

That's because the world "legend" implies high achievement over a long period of time.
And we know that most MMA careers are usually over in less than 15 years.
So a legend is someone whose experience and "fight IQ" usually exceeds their body's ability to handle cumulative injuries.

Eddie Brilz....lol. Jason Brilz is an accomplished fighter with wins over Eric Schafer, Tim Boetsch, Jason McDonald and Alex Schoenauer. So to say "of all people" when referring to Brilz is unfair. I think Lil Nog is an impressive fighter, but unfortunately he's forced to live up to the expectations of todays fans. He earned his name centuries ago (in mma time) and the sport has evolved quickly to the point where his boxing is no longer some of the best in the sport and most fighters have an understanding of how to defend bjj. But Lil Nog is still a force in mma and will only get better. He hasn't received the intense poundings that Big Nog has received.

It also implies that their best days are behind them...

Although it is easy to make fun of the OP because they're not to knowledgeable about PRIDE or the fact that this particular fighter beat Hendo, Overeem and had a back and forth with rising star Shogun Rua and basically put together quite a few years of big fights(although, i'm sure after checking wikipedia, they'll say they know all about pride...
)
i will definitely agree that i don't care to watch Lil Nog... just don't find his fights all that fun to watch.

imo Nog had the fight lost when I heard that he said something like "It would be wise for Bader to stand with me". Picture James Toney saying that about Couture lol why the hell would that be wise? Sounded like weakness talking, "Please, fight me where I'm strongest".
He's got a few more good wins but he's looking pretty much figured out at this point.

This guy was pretty much using troll tactics from like 2007, and almost all of you guys took the bait. Sometimes sherdog is good for something. I probably would have fallen for it too, if I hadn't seen that exact thread time and time again over there. The only thing different are the names. At least he's gone now though

At least it's fun trolling... as opposed to over the top insulting trolling.
It's a slow monday anyways....
