In the past, M-1 wanted to co-promote, this appears to be designed to bring Russian fighters into the UFC, with M-1 acting as a feeder league.

I always knew that going back to the story of Dana flying to Russia for a deal that was never there with Fedor all right fair enough M1 as a platform to get into the Russian market but are they really that reliable

I'm not sure how much input Dana would have in this, him deciding to suddenly work with Vadim seems very unlikely.

With the UFC putting on pro-wrastlin antics left and right lately, I see an M-1 deal to be an improved change in direction. Late, but good.
