Another voting has come and gone and we need to now move on to the #6 fighter on our P4P list. This past voting was kind of a shocker to some and was close for a while but turned into a solid win. The winner of the #5 spot on the P4P list is:
Frankie Edgar
Voting Breakdown:
Frankie Edgar 16
Cain Velasquez 9
Dominick Cruz 9
Other 2
Our List So Far:
1. Anderson Silva
2. Georges St. Pierre
3. Jose Aldo
4. Jon Jones
5. Frankie Edgar
Now time to vote for the #6 guy on the list. I will add more people to vote for as well as the "other" option. Now more than ever is when you need to tell me if you want to vote for someone else so I can start adding that person to the list. Enjoy!

Jake Shields?
Undefeated for six years and destroyed Henderson and was one jab away from taking GSP down according to two out of the three judges.

watching jake shields fight is worse than watching gsp fight

His last 4 opponents were:
1 Benevidez (ranked top 5 at the time)
2. Bowles (ranked #1 at the time)
3. Benevidez again (ranked #2 behind Cruz himself at the time)
4. Jorgensen (ranked in the top 5 at the time)
And he's dominated them.

Ill buy that for some peoples top ten but I still cant see putting him ahead of Cain, Shields, and Fitch.

I would normally agree on this, but Jake strikes from the mount are so weak, hes basically looking for a stoppage based on returned ammount of strikes, while GSP is thundering down pretty damaging elbows when hes in side control or half guard.

Well I like grappling so just watching someone try to pass is more exciting than someone not trying to pass to me.
I think Shields punches from mount are weak because he is using them as a ploy and setting up for submissions. And also he cant get swept as easy if he doesn't shift his weight to create a powerful punch. But even if like you say he is looking for a stoppage at least he's trying to finish.
Maybe the heavyweights and LHW's can end a fight with elbows in guard but its rare for a WW to do it. Ive seen Shields end fights from mount I havent seen GSP do it in the guard.

Well GSP usually wilts the guy when hes GNP and it hes done some brutal GNP inside of guys guards. I know we havent seen finishes in a while, but if Penn comes out for round 5, he gets stopped via GNP

Not many people can say they've been handily beating top 5 competition for their last 4 fights. Personally, I have him at #4.

Its funny you say this cause Jorgenson just got a solid KO from guard and he is a BW.
