These Europe events lately are kinda flat are they not? USA clearly is #1 when it comes to UFC cards, followed by Brazil & Canada in 2nd and 3rd and even the upcoming Asian fight night cards seem more appealing to me, so give Asia 4th. Australia/New Zealand events seem to be comparable to the Europe events, but when you compare population of those areas it shouldnt be that close.
Why dont they stack more cards in Europe? The market is forsure there, maybe MMA just isnt as big there yet but if you had a star headlining a card (maybe an Irish one wink wink) you could sell 20,000 plus seats anywhere in the continent.
Im not trying to bash UFC Europe over this, but just I think they deserve some better cards. The upcoming Fight Nights in Sweden and Scotland are pretty below average...Gus/Glover is a good headliner but after that it falls off...and Scotlands card seems mediocre from top to bottom to me, not much of an incline from Felder/Ray up to Nelson/Pinzinibbo (not sure how to spell that last name, too lazy to google).
Instead of giving them a few Fight Nights here and there I think UFC should give them a stacked card, not just full of European fighters but American big name fighters with the draw to create a buzz for the event...kinda like what we just seen in Dallas for a summer kick off, but in Dublin or London.

There is enough European talent to build better cards, some of the issues are also timing/fighter availability, visas.

I agree that they should put better cards on here, but not to the extent you're talking about. It's not really practical for the UFC to do a that often, due to the time difference.

I've always found it strange that the UFC introduces itself into new markets with such mediocre cards. You'd think they'd want to put their best foot forward.
The time difference between Europe and the UFC's main North American market is part of the problem. Holding a PPV at the usual time for the paying North American market would put the live event at strange hours for European fans in attendance. The same would go for FOX cards that are usually set at a North American friendly time. And those are normally the events that the UFC puts their best talent on.

Totally agree. It's like they think we'll just be satisfied to have a card. The headline is usually good but the cards are weak. They throw us one out of pity it seems. That's all we are to the UFC.. A pityf**k!!
They do seem to think if they pack it with European fighters we'll be happy. I'd much rather see an American fan favourite fighter compete than some dude because he comes from Poland. The only reason these cards still sell out, despite being poor is because it's a rarity to have a card over here so people jump on it. If they wanna do weaker cards then at least give us a few of them over here so we have a choice of what we pay to attend.

The thing for me is, if they are making these cards up around the world in Europe, Asia, Oceania ect with the USA in mind while making the cards (time difference, not stacking cards) why even leave the US? If your gonna expand the empire, do it with force imo.

I think instead of 2 or 3 weak fight nights they should just stack one numbered event somewhere in London, Dublin or Berlin ect...a big city with a stacked UFC card...id love to see Jones or McGregor headline a stacked Euro card.

If I wanted to see uk or European fighters I would go to cage warriors I understand we won't get any superstars but you could throw us a edson barboza or John Lineker now and then
