Rousimar Palhares vs Dean Lister, submission match set for 2013 World Jiu-Jitsu Expo. No Gi. No Decision. Sub Win Only. I see a draw after 20 mins IMO...
Battle of the Heel Hooks! I think I would pay to see this....
Discuss!

I'm thinking they could cancel each other out on the mat. Both are more than capable of ripping something on the legs, but I fully expect both to have an answer for every submission attempt for the full 20 mins. It could still be fun though....

Yep probably 20 minutes of 50/50 guard ending draw. But if lister can secure a leglock, i hope he holds it long after palahres taps. Give him a taste of his own medicine, i doubt anybody would think badly of lister. Especially after what just happened with palhares and pierce.

Ha it would be ironic if that happened.

I see Palhares being physically stronger than Lister, skill wise they're pretty evenly matched. I got Palhares winning this, but not emphatically.

Lister is bigger and a better all around grappler.

Whenever I watch Lister grapple he always seems so lethargic. Don't get me wrong, he's fantastic I just think Palhares has this one. he might be bigger, but that doesn't mean he's more athletic or stronger.
Call it a gut feeling.

I would toss Marcin Held and Paul Sass into that mix as well

Im disappointed that lister couldnt have more success in the ufc with his elite grappling skills, especially when he was so skilled at leglocks.

This.
Palhares just seems so much more explosive with his grappling than Lister.
