Dude has been on a tear, and I have been a big fan ever since he knocked out Mike Ricci in his Bellator debut. This kid has some serious potential and he is an absolute killer. Can't wait to see what the future holds for Pat Curran, hopefully he will make it to the UFC eventually.

i'm surprised with how fast he finished him, and how fast he transitioned into that brutal modified arm in guillotine choke

Frodo and Strauss will have nothing for him.

It was like 3 seconds from takedown to choke, I was quite impressed

"I'm extremely happy in Bellator," Curran said. "They take good care of me, and I'm very happy. I'm staying active, and that's all I can really ask for as a fighter. I'm absolutely happy to stay with Bellator throughout the rest of my career, if it came down to that."
That's all that needs to be said. Curran has been getting solid fights and staying busy.

Yeah, Bellator has made for themselves a pretty strong fight contract....mainly by copying UFC's fight contract. Hope Curran can try for the UFC at some point in the near future, he is 25 now with 23 pro fights.

The UFC have matching clauses written into their contracts too. It's just unlikely that a fighter would want to leave them unless & the UFC wanted to keep them.
Also, Bellator have every right to try to keep Alvarez.

As Spud said, UFC has matching provisions and has your exclusive rights. Also, they have your likeness which made Jon Fitch pissed off awhile back as fighters weren't compensated for the video game.
Reason nobody wants to leave the UFC is that they do pay the best, give yourself and your fight team good accommodations, give bonuses that we never hear about and you can use the "UFC veteran" status to get paid better if you do find yourself back on the regional scene.

Sorry I should of reworded what I said a little better I do agree with everything the both of use have said but from watching mma myself i've never heard of the UFC releasing a fighter then using its right to match or am I wrong ?
Bellator do have every right to keep Alverez but saying he will get a cut of the PPV and that it will match the UFC is just stupid, but in court you can't talk future, only present

I've loved watching Curran for a long time and have been saying he's one of the best FW's in the world.
I'm glad he's happy with Bellator, but I'd love to see him fight in the UFC against some of their FW's.

I also wouldn't hate a Curran/Chandler fight either, but I don't know that Bellator would want to do that.
