I'd like to see him back based on potential exciting match ups alone

Second chances are earned. Daley is a fighter and statements are made with your actions when the doors are shut.
Not in letters from your manager begging on your behalf to come back from exile.

I just do not see that many exciting match-ups with Daley involved. Most of the top 20 can put him on his back and where is a complete fish out of water.

Condit, Kampmann II, Diaz II, Brown, Alves, Wonderboy Thompson, Mein.
All opponents for Daley I'd love to see, pretty much all guaranteed to be exciting.

I will give you Diaz and Alves.
Condit, hell even Thompson and Brown have become too technical for Daley.
He is a great brawler I will give you that, but his inability to fight everywhere is a liability in every fight. (Especially in his division.) He could be in an amazingly entertaining fight, or one of the worst fights you will ever see.

There was no fight outside of the Octagon
at the expo it was a confrontation, not a fight (promo)
at the TUF show it was promo AND the fault of the producers for really stretching it out AND he (Wandy) got alot of criticism for it.
anything else? I can go all day (unless it's sex)

It's funny that you think your arguments are so great. LOL. Oh now it's the producers fault Wanderlei started a fight, they made him do it. Jon Jones is not intentionally trying to hurt someone when he pokes them in the eye. Koscheck was using strategy when he stuck his fingers in guys eye sockets. LOL. Nice arguments. Hope you never try to become a lawyer.

That gave a true gut busting laugh, you, calling someone else "holier than thou".
Hilarious moment on these boards, I'm just glad I could be apart of it. I really do appreciate the laugh.
But in response, it is not that I have never made a mistake. And is incorrect circular logic. We are not talking about myself, we are talking about a fighter wanting to get back after being banned.
Daley broke one of the most respected rules of combat sports. Never strike your opponent after the fight.
Daley had his chance to do all kinds of damange and got his sh/t pushed in. Koscheck exposed Daley's biggest weakness and poked him over the edge. I'm not saying that Koscheck is not a jerk, and probably deserved it. But still, you do not do it. Daley had 15 minutes to do what he wanted to do with that annoying jerk, and could not do a damn thing. Posture all you want, but Kos manhandled him, and Daley showed his true colors.
Compare to Badr Hari who gets too many chances in kickboxing, this guy is a talented fighter, but a complete thug, and punching people after the fight has ended is a thug move and should not be tolerated. An example has to be sent that things like well not be accepted. And Daley is no where near as exceptional as Hari. Top fighters are going to get a pass, Daley is a mid-tier fighter, he is going to have to grovel a lot more.
Where is your fire and brimstone with following the rules in this case and then want to have so much contempt for another fighter using techniques that are legal? You get pissy at the drop of Jon Jones name using legal moves (standing shoulder crank and front leg kicks), but want to give Daley another chance after breaking one of the most sacred rules of the sport?
Let me explain it in terms you might understand.

What's up with the essay??
Koscheck poked people in the eye his entire career on purpose. So he got suckered punch, he received a taste of his own medicine. Daley shouldn't have his career ruined over it.

Let him back in everyone deserves a second chance, plus he's being on a run as of late.

Give Daley a chance, people have done worse, plus it was only Kos and no one likes him anyway.

Exactly. Those would all be very exciting fights. You don't always bring guys in who can win the belt, in Dana's words, sometimes you want to see a "fun fight".

Not necessarily worse, but probably equally as bad - Babalu (held on to choke after winning, Palhares (holding heel hooks on more than 1 occasion), not in the Octagon but Gilbert Yvel KO'd a ref then kicked him when he was down, and still got signed by the UFC after it.
Not saying what Daley done was right, but lets not act like it's the worst thing we've ever seen. His attitude afterwards is what got him cut, not the incident itself.
