I would love to see Pettis vs Penn.I think Pettis would create alot of problems for BJ with his pace and his stand up.Imo this would be the most exciting fight for BJ to take at 55 out of any fighter in that weight class.The only problem BJ probaly wouldnt take this fight unless Pettis was champion and that wont be for at least 2 years.What do you guys think of this matchup if were to take place.

BJ takes Pettis down with ease, and wins by RNC sometime in the first. Horrible matchup for Anthony.

Its funny to me how fans always want see a fight that they think one of their favorite fighter would win that would also give the favored fighter more credibility.

BJ's wrestling is criminally underrated, and I suspect he'd have more success passing Pettis's guard than Guida.

Pettis is good against athletic guys that arent super muscled not the gym rats that can throw him around. Penn isnt like that but hes strong at 155 and Pettis is a small lw.
Pettis has great matchups for like someone like Nate Diaz

Pettis isnt my favorite but he is exciting.BJ has great wrestling defense not offense and Pettis has a pretty good standup game.BJ would have to respect the kicks and Pettis seems to have a gas tank.I just think it would be a very exciting fight and I think Pettis could make BJ his stepping stone much like Edgar did but in a different way.

Realistically though BJ would hit him with a combination that would put him down.

No, but a fight i would like to see at 55 is Gilbert Melendez vs BJ Penn, Gil serioulsly reminded me of a young BJ when he fought Kawajiri
