Plane crash into the Hudson river. The pilot did a great job saving all passengers. should he get some sort of medal?

this happened like an hour and 20 mins away from my house, its all thats been on the news/tv. The pilot landed on the water and the plane is still floating and in 1 piece, not quite sure how that happened but it was pretty crazy. its pretty amazing no one got hurt.

sure. why not? even though it's his duty to ensure passenger safety, there's nothing wrong with giving the man a pat on the *** for a job well done.
