I'm over the whole like system. At first it was kinda neat but after awhile I just forget to use it most of the time and even when I do, I feel like I'm engaging in a circle-jerk. Then there are the times when I see on my alerts that someone has liked a post of mine as part of an ongoing conversation with them in a thread and I feel guilty for not liking their posts back.
Then I realise it's a stupid system in the first place and don't click the like button solely to rail against the system and stick it to the man (whoever he is that runs these forums... or she... but saying stick to the woman would be considered crude).
So stop it. I know I'm awesome and popular, but really, it has to stop.
You can turn off notifications for likes in your user profile. If you don't want to do that, then you will have to accept it as part of thefforum. It's built into the software of the new forums.

All of those are not the correct way to spell "gullible".

Liking your posts has never been a problem of mine.
