It's crazy the lengths cops have to go through to not shoot people who are intent on suicide by cop these days. That must be awfully demoralizing to go through such effort and still live.

True....specially after BLM's "Lord and Savior" George Floyd's death, a lot of Police Departments in Cities run by the Left and few by the Right go thru this on a daily basis.

And obviously I don't know anything compared to you but isn't it possible that something during driving can get a gun to go off?

My guns are also loaded.
I'm no expert, but I assume most guns don't "go off" unless you pull the trigger.

Let's say this dude has many guns in the trunk like he says, so a sudden brake or bump might do that without pulling the trigger, even if that's unlikely

The rifles probably have loaded mags and empty chambers. Pistols carried for defensive work should always be chambered. If you need it, you will not have time to chamber a round, and your motor skills will be s--- in a stressful situation. Always keep pistols chambered for carry.
Not all rifles are drop safe. The AR-15 has a free floating firing pin, and it can theoretically discharge if dropped, but the pin is so light that there is no reasonable drop or bump that is going to send that light pin into a primer hard enough to set it off. My issued M4 was banged, struck, rolled over, and in the vicinity or numerous explosions. Never went off. I have never seen or heard of an AR-15 going off when dropped. Like I said, it is theoretically possible, but it is
extremely
unlikely.
But, again, his rifles are most likely empty chamber with loaded mag. That is the standard way to transport. Those pistols are definitely loaded, though, and should be.
