At this point i think if everything plays out as we think, this fight will happen no doubt. If GSP beats Condit, the GSP/Silva fight will play out. Thus the Weidman/Boetsch fight will no longer be a #1 contender fight since Silva will go on to fight GSP. Thus if Weidman beats Boetsch, which i think he will, Weidman will wait for Silva/GSP and i think by that time Bisping/Belfort will happen and if Bisping wins the two top guys weidman and bisping will be neck and neck for the top title contention which is exactly where Kampmann and Hendricks are at now. So i think if all of this plays out, if GSP beats condit and goes to fight Silva, if Weidman beats Boetsch,and Bisping beats Belfort. We could see a Bisping/Weidman match up for the clear cut 185 lb contendership. What do you think? Both guys are pretty well rounded. I think Bisping definitely takes the stand up while Weidman has the wrestling advantage. I think both are equal with the BJJ and bisping might have a slight advantage at the cardio. This fight will come down to if weidman can take bisping down. Bisping has great TDD. What do you think?

What you said makes sense and should happen in a perfect world.. Saying that Bisping would get destroyed. Bisping could not knock him out, could not win on the ground and is not fast enough to keep Weidman from taking him down and pounding him out. Bad bad day for the Count. Personally i don't see him making it past Vitor anyway. JMO

Bisping may have the better striking now, but Weidman looked really good on the feet against Munoz and he is constantly improving. I expect him to look even better on the feet against Boetsch and by the time he ends up fighting Bisping he could end up with the better striking. Bisping does have good TDD and sub defense, but I think if Weidman can mix takedowns up with his striking he should be able to take Bisping down at will. I think if they fought today, Bisping would probably take the fight, but if they end up fighting six months from now, I expect Weidman to dominate.

Sonnen is possibly a better wrestler, but Weidman's striking is far superior to Chael's and he can use it to set up his take downs a lot better than Sonnen did.

I think weidman is a better mma wrestler than chael cause his length, bjj, and more powerful striking. Chael is a great wrestler for sure but bisping didn't have to respect his hands (and elbows) like he would have to with Chris. I believe bisping will be a lot more off balance against weidman because of this. So I see Chris getting takedowns. Maybe not at will but I do believe Chris will be able to get him down. If its a 3 round fight I see Chris winning a UD but if its 5 bispings cardio, heart, and experience might take over. Either way I think it would be a hell of a fight
