It can be a fight or anything that significant to YOU or MMA in general.
For me it was Chuck Vs. Rampage 2, It was the first card that had live weight-ins on ESPNnews plus the card wasn't that good. For two weeks it got so much attention befor and after on ESPN shows and other TV and media(No fight/card I can remember got the same amount of run.) Chuck was still knocking suckers out and Rampage had beat him and just came over from WFA and Pride around the same time UFC just bought out Pride. And the fact the fight didn't disappoint.
The other thing I like about it is for all the attention it got it didn't the take away from MMA or the fighters. It didn't need a WWF wrestler, some over the hill boxer or a MMA fighter in a movie. MMA stood up on its own it, being focus on fights and not nothing extra.

The scope and size of MMA's popularity that we see today had not been imagined until TUF 1. Pride was awesome, but there was only a select few of us who watched it live, talked about it, or even were able to get up to date results. Even when Zuffa bought UFC, they had some pretty bad shows attendance wise, and coverage wise, and the shows were not every month but every few months. Once TUF started and gained momentum, MMA had a huge surge of fans that seemed to bring the sport somewhere that was not imaginable givin its stature at that particular time. I think that post TUF, Chuck vs Rampage II was a fight that is and was one of the biggest and most fun fights we have seen so far because of their history in Pride, and because it was Rampage's 1st "real" fight in the US where he was being promoted to US fans. Chuck was running out of opponants and it was perfect timing for Page to enter the UFC. The UFC was giving Chuck guys he had already beaten...hell, Jeremy Horn got a shot at the title after doing nothing so far worth garnering that shot. Great topic.
