Some of ya'll might have seen her on Bellator or a couple LFA cards in the past. She's a small town girl that just liked to fight. Anyways, late last week she suffered an aneurysm which led to strokes and seizures. When they attempted to repair it, it ruptured again, and they had to fix it a 2nd time. Now she's laid up in the ICU, fighting for her life.
She could use all thoughts, well wishes, and prayers ya'll got.

As many as her family could use. She no longer needs them as she passed this morning after they removed her from life support.

“The fight is over. You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the cards.
…I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live you your dream with you. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.”
Collins recently suffered a brain aneurysm and related complications stemming from it. Here are more details from her GoFundMe page:
“Everyone knows Katy Collins as a fighter but right now she is fighting for her life. Katy had a brain aneurysm Friday September 20th and she will have a long road to recovery ahead of her. If anyone knows Katy, you would know she is a loving, caring, selfless individual with a huge heart. Right now she needs help to make it through the next few months with personal and medical expenses piling on. Please, friends family and loved ones… any help at all is appreciated for our friend right now. She needs us all. Thank you.”
Collins compiled a 7-5 record as a professional mixed martial artist. She turned pro in 2015, and went on to fight for organizations such as Bellator and LFA. She had a 2-1 record in Bellator, with wins over Bruna Vargas and Michelle Royer and a loss to Emily Ducote. She most recently competed in LFA. Prior to turning pro, she competed as an amateur from 2011 to 2014.

I hope the same. I was talking to our mutual friend, who had also been her roommate at one point. He has since moved to be closer to his mother and was unable to visit her in the hospital. Now, I knew how bad things were. He asked if I did. And I said no. I didn't want my final memory of her to be her earthly body that was no longer the Katy that I knew.

Turns out prayer doesn't work, aside from making the person praying feel better about a tragic situation.

Sad story. Prime of life cut short. feel for parents who've had to watch there child/children pass away before them.
A nightmare scenario I truthfully would not wish on the worst of enemy's

Not to be disrespectful but I hadn't heard of her before this. Was she any good of a fighter?

So, instead of just shutting up, you decide to post. Cool.
Listen, I get it. You don't like prayer. You don't pray. The prayer touched you inappropriately. Whatever. It takes approximately 0 seconds to move on with your day and not be a d-bag.

She also had young children. I made a reddit thread and I just wish people knew her.

She was a small timer. She was from a small town in AR and was just a good old girl who liked to fight. She wasn't refined, but she'd bully girls in the cage and hold them there. But most importantly, she was a friend. We had fallen out due to gym politics, but recently she had made some changes in her life and I spoke to her a few times in the last few months. Most importantly, I remember her walking past me at a show and saying "i can't pretend we aren't friends" and gave me a hug. Things are a little dimmer without her.
