I just got through reading Brock saying Fedor was the greatest "in his own little world", I am a fan of both fighters, so I didn't take such offense, in fact, I'm always looking for what Brock says because even when he doesn't seem to be trying, he comes off as awfully funny.
Like after beating Mir in the rematch he said something like "I was surprised on the ground with Frank, the guys I train with get out of that hold, my guys get out"...I burst out laughing, he didn't have one hint of sarcasm to it but he must have known he was calling Frank weak.
I think I judged him as a meat-head type guy at first, one time he said "not to get into racism but I'm built like a black guy", I suppose I should take into account he's a farm boy, but one thing I'm sure of: he has the resolve of a champion. I don't hear too many "if's" from him, everything is certain, and it doesn't seem boastful, that's how Carwin comes off to me ("I'm so freakin' competitive").
And for Shane, I'm not sure if he has more fans because of his character and skill or because he represents the possible destruction of Brock and those anti-Brock fans find hope in him, we will find out soon.
My gambling opinion and fan opinion says Brock comes out Undisputed champ (again) July 3rd. If there's any Brock fan that has a hard time believing Brock can do it, refer to his first quote on Carwin in '08:
"He's a tough guy and a wrestler. But he's a Division II national champion -- enough said. I don't know what he is, 11-0, 10-0, but he'll have a loss against Brock Lesnar."
I doubt he doubts it.
