going to a live mma event is insane, i have been to Strikeoforce Evolution, Fedor vs Werdum, Diaz vs noons 2, UFC 117, and UFC 125. and every single time i had an unbelevibably amazing time. i won ufc 125 tickets off junkie radio the day before the event, so me and my buddy drove 9 hours from the bay area to vegas, left at 345 am and got there at like 12. we were on such a low budget, we just crashed in the car for a few hours and then drove all the way back. AND IT WAS MORE THEN WORTH IT. the only thing that sucked wa si am medicinal cannabis patient in california but when we went to nevada its a whole new set of laws, so i had to go without my meds for a while too!
i spend about 230$ on UFC 117 in oakland, and got about 30 yard line, but right where the stands begin to curve around and about 12 rows upif you know what i mean.the oakland fans were a little uneducated but there are always those people at mma events.and those seats were great, i sat 50yd line row 5 for diaz vs noons and that was very very close, and was insane, i could hear every punch land. and for ufc 125 i was 50 yard line to left about 9 rows up, again, awsome seats.vegas fanbs are something else though. every time i go to an mma event i am suprised how good your view of the cage is, no matter where you sit.
for UFC get the tickets as soon as you can, literally like the second they go on sale, iespecially since you are in canada, that will sell out the first day probably, and ticket will probably be pretty pricey, but if i were you i would try to get mid-tier seats, anywhere in the middle sections are great. either way, the way they do the lights and entrances are insane.
if you are anything like me, when they show the gladiator preparing for battle and then that music drops, YOU WILL GO INSANE!!!!!
let me remind you i was in oakland, so the outsides of the arena were crawling with people selling the same merchandise they sell in there, i bought a ufc 117 tshirt for 5 bucks because the security guard was chasing the guy trying to take all of them
but merchandise in there is loot, along with beer and food like any other sporting event.
also, they had the ufc 117 media workouts at the ufc gym, wich is like 20 minutes from my house, and i was there early already working out, and i met/autographs/got pics with anderson silva, jds, roy nelson, fitch, ariel hawani,ed soares, thiago tavares, chael sonnen, and matt linland. also at ufc 117 i johnny hendricks was just sitting by the beer stand after his fight, and i walked up to him and said whatsup, talked to him for a little bit and got a picture, he was a really cool dude, and noone really even recognized him but me.
and at SF diaz vs noons i me shields and nate walking around once again, by the beer stand.
