Both guys have expressed interest in fighting each other following Stephan's win at UFC 139 as confirmed by John Morgan on MMAJunkie Radio. I think this would be an excellent match up for both guys to have and certainly a fun fight for the fans. What do you guys think?

I'd rather see Rampage vs. Shogun on the Japan card, two PRIDE vets coming off tough losses that didnt lose them any fans. Bonnar should get someone on a similar win streak, like Alexander Gustafsson or Stanislav Nedkov.
For what it's worth, I reckon on current form, Bonnar would beat Rampage.

Bonnar doesnt belong or deserve to fight Rampage.......he has been fighting no names
Rampage would Knock the s--- out of Bonnar beating Kingsburg doesnt make you a contender vs Rampage

Rampage wasn't even able to knock the s--- out of Hamill or Jardine. Bonnar could provide for a fun match-up for a guy like Rampage, someone that will be in his face trying to go to war. Those both have fought and lost to similar opponents. And if Jackson wants the fight...why not?

I agree with this. Rampage looked horrible against Hamill who has negative striking skills. I mean, "IF" Rampage actually connects then it's lights out Bonnar. I have seen any evolution out of Quinton in a mighty long time.

Sure. I'd watch that. Bring it on!

This would be a great fight. I can see Bonnar trying to implement griffin's game plan. Leg kicks, jabs, etc. Maybe Bonnar would try to get this to the ground given his sudden desire to fight there.

Always been a fan of Bonnar, I just dont see him being able to outbox or do anything on the ground to Rampage.

I agree that this fight would be fun to watch for sure.
I'd have to go with rampage in this one tho.
Bonnar has not shown me anything to get me to believe that he can be disciplined enough to stay out of brawling exchanges for 15 mins with rampage.
And I don't see him being able to drag rampage down the same way he did kingsbury....

At UFC 139, I asked him if he wants to fight again in February and fight Rampage, what about fighting Rampage at UFC Japan in February. He said no to that because he didn't want to fight Rampage in Japan and doesn't feel good about fighting overseas.

Then book the fight somewhere else. Japan card doesn't really need Rampage anyways.

It is now. It'll be just under 7 years since they last met. Rampage has expressed interest in this re-match. Having this in Japan would be good for the sport, not that I've ever cared about that.

I would like to see a Rampage/Shogun rematch but after saturday I'm pretty sure Shogun won't be available for 144. After that though Rampage/Bonner would be cool. Two veterans that we haven't seen fight each other yet, nice fresh matchup. I expect Rampage to tee off on him.

No, its not. And John Morgan said on MMAJunkie that Rampage texted Dana after the fight saying "I want Bonnar".

Yea, I'll always prefer the fresh match up over a rematch, no matter how long ago the 1st fight was. Shogun vs Rich Franklin in the summer or if they really want a possible rematch...do Shogun vs Tito/Lil Nog winner (Although I'm more interested in the Tito fight).

Idk about that, he wasn't knocked out, no brokken bones. If cleared by Dec 14th, he could still pull off a 10 week camp, + plus recoup for the next 3. If he's in as good of shape as he was chirping about prior to this fight, I could see it going down.

If Shogun is healthy by then, the UFC would be silly not to do Rampage vs Shogun in Japan, imo.
If Shogun can't go, Bonner would be an ok replacement I guess.

Agreed, Rampage vs Shogun the vintage fight aspect is through the roof. The other fight would be great for Bonnar, meh for Rampage.
