Lil’ Nogueira set to face Rampage?

With two victories in a row inside the UFC octagon, Rogério “Minotouro” Nogueira is climbing the rankings after a shot at the UFC title. In an interview to TATAME, Nogueira’s boxing coach Luis Carlos Dórea revealed that the Bahia native fighter will come back to the octagon in September.
“It’s set that he’ll be back in September, and rumors point that his opponent might be Quinton Jackson. It’d be a great fight for Rogério, he’s a former UFC champion and a victory over him will move us pretty close to the title. The UFC only has top athletes and Quinton Jackson is really dangerous. It’d be a great fight, but the UFC didn’t confirmed anything yet”, Dórea said.
The coach doesn’t confirm it, but TATAME learned with close sources that this fight in on and agreed, but not signed yet. Talking to TATAME, Dórea shared his thoughts on how this fight would be. “He’s a complete athlete, hard to be taken down… Who puts its own strategy on the fight will win, but we believe a lot on Rogerio’s movement… We’ll work hard to get this victory”, he said.

Ya I bet Forrest saw Lil Nog's last fight and now feels pretty good about fighting him. I remember before he was talking about how he was a bad match up and what not. Forrest is definitely capable of beating him.

Funny, remember a while back machida said on his Facebook he was probably fighting Forrest in September. I wish they would flop the matchups also. But I guess Dana is gonna do what Dana wants to do.

Page vs Machida is a terrible matchup for Rampage. Machida is faster, more accurate, and all around WAY better then Rampage in almost EVERY aspect of MMA.
Griffin vs Nog is a great matchup though.

Page vs Machida is a terrible matchup for Rampage. Machida is faster, more accurate, and all around WAY better then Rampage in almost EVERY aspect of MMA.

BUt i believe that is the best course of action for both fighters. LOser of title fight vs. Loser of #1 Contender's Fight.

it's UFC 119 and its in Indy and they said Rampage vs Machida is gonna be the main event and its gonna be Lillte Nog vs Ryan Bader.. And dont be surpirsed if Jake Shields makes his debut here

wondering who hes gunna fight next is gettin boring. machida forrest or lil nog. all three are very exciting and i keep seeing articles discussing each. i saw forrest vs lil nog and rampage machida. if jackson really wants to prove something, he should defeat a top opponent. lil nog and forrest are his easier match ups.

id like to see either one, machida would definitely be a tougher fight for rampage but he still has a good chance of winning imo if hes in shape, there wouldnt be many takedowns or laying in that fight obv and rampage has a great chin, and hits harder than machida who we've seen is not invincible
