Good on him. Was always a big fan. At one point he was clearly the best BW in the world and then Rd 2 with CCC happened and his whole career went south. That was an incredible moment. You could see the life draining out of him and pinpoint the 30 second period where his fighting career turned. Remarkable comeback by CCC too.

Yeah. That begging for a runback of the Conor fight to a disgusted crowd was hard to watch. I'd like to see him fight Ruffy but they served him up to Arman. Paddy seems a tough out for MAx but why not? Let's see if Paddy can get him down. You'd have to think he will, and it's a short fight if he does.

I don't think he's fighting any contenders, either title shot or Conor (or BMF again, they can decide to do with it whatever they want)

He's made a lot of money and won titles and doing other stuff like famous on twitch
 
I don't see the MVP final fight going well. He's talking as if he wants to get a new contract but knows he won't.
Taliking about 'You're ginna see the old MVP'. Yeah, that kind of talk is always a great sign.
Also refuses to watch any tape or get a psychologist despite constantly stating that he is tight and can't adjust well to UFC conditions.
Can you imagine a fighter saying they lack strength or cardio 6 fights ago and continuing to say it but not address it at all? Zero professional consulation or advice, let alone employment? It's unprofessional and sadly predictable stubbornness based in fear.

Maybe that's why he moved up. I think this is an easy fight for mvp. Even if he has slowed down he still is much faster than this guy and mvp's style will frustrate him.
 
The trouble with MVP is for him to be great, fighters need to play into his style. When they don't, there's no Plan B from MVP - it turns into a snooze fest. I blame MVP for this. He should figure out how to make something happen when fighters match his patience for error.

Why does he need a plan B other than win by snooze fest? He has never lost one.
Winning by snoozefest still gets you a TS in the end. Ask Belal or Fitch.
That's not his biggest problem by any means.
He lost when the opponent either KOd him (Lima) or imposed their own snooze fest WFing (Storley and Garry, neither of whom deserved the decision).

Biggest problem is his mental block on big stages and his inability to reverse or do much of anything on the ground other than grab the wrists with his massive hands.
If the referees were better that would lead to stand ups because it's a stalemate, but they are not keen on doing their job.

Gonna disagree with you on this one Riz. An example of a man who got a title shot 18 years ago doesn't reflect Paramount UFC era & the fact is in a little over 24 hours MVP is going to be unemployed regardless of his win record. I look forward to MVPs fights a lot, but he is a counter striker. He needs something to counter. It's the snoozefests on the feet that really gets the goats of the crowd.
