I know everyones waiting on the updated rankings, but we are undergoing a brand new ranking system, designed by our very own stat guy Dougdrex. This new ranking system will be more effecient, and will make it easier to determine rankings. With the new system, a win should not move you down in rankings :lol:
There are different factors going into it, but in the end, it will be more effecient and fair. Also, with this new system, the rankings will be shaken up a bit I imagine, but that is good, cause it means that everyone will be where they are SUPPOSED to be. (If your in the top 5, I would imagine you guys arent going anywhere)
Also, there is a good chance that updated rankings will not be available until the end of JFC-10. Not for certain on this yet. Depends on how long it takes to get it done. But this has been something me and KOA have wanted to do for some time, and I believe it will benefit everyone. So we appreciate your paitence, while we get this thing together!!!

And I say throw the .5's as well. What the hell. We've got enough events now that one shouldn't kill you too much!!

Whoooooooaaaa wait just a minute...I only joined the EliteXC one just for shits and giggles. I made my picks in like 5 minutes. I was told it wasn't counting.

True. It would be wrong to go back and change those rules. It seemed like everyone was on board, but it really should stay the way we said it would in the beginning.

We haven't discussed team rankings, but I'm willing to help out in whatever way I can to make the JFC the ultimate fantasy MMA site on the internet.

Doug get at me if you want some input.
I have some great ideas from a previously designed scoring systems for leagues like these.
It uses a weighted scoring system where the most recent event is scored and weighted heavier then previous events.
Mine ranked the last 9 events.
If you guys want some input I am happy to give it.

Team Rankings will be simple once we update the new rankings... All the fighters on the teams points added up, divided by 6. Will be the easiest part of the job

Unfortunately, since we disclaimed it before people signed up for the .5 events that it wont count towards rankings, we cannot include it. And we cant do it for only a few people and not all or it throws the rankins off. Its only fair to those guys who didnt prep for the fights at all, and just submitted picks for kicks. Also, alot of high ranked fighters fought low ranked guys, cause it was the only time they had a chance,since its hardcore when its an event that counts...
